The First Dorothy I. Height Hat Auctioned!
The first Dorothy I. Height Hat was auctioned at the 2011 Uncommon Height Gala! The Uncommon Height Gala is an annual event sponsored by The National Council of Negro Women.
Each year an Uncommon Height Award is presented to one or more individuals who have achieved uncommon heights in excellence of service to others. Awardees are recognized for their ability to exceed far above and beyond oneself in the same spirit and tradition of Dr. Dorothy I. Height. The award ceremony is held in Washington, DC. It features great speakers, food, fellowship and entertainment. Many notable African American politicians, organizations, business leaders, entertainers and media personalities attend this exclusive event.
The winner of last year's Auction at the Uncommon Height Gala is Minyon Moore!
DIHEF congratulates Minyon! Thank you for your support!
