Jarvis is the founder and chief executive officer of Highland Poe, a highly acclaimed holding company that provides a wide range of professional services through its member companies, Blitz SMG, Cover Communications, and HP Global Advisors.

Prior to launching his firm more than 25 years ago, Jarvis served as chief of staff to former US Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., of Tennessee, and worked as a senior advisor to the country’s 23rd United States Labor Secretary, the late Honorable Alexis M. Herman. Jarvis has served as an advisor to Maryland Governor Wes Moore, former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, former Delaware Lt. When asked, Jarvis will say his greatest professional accomplishment was helping to raise more than $120 million to build the Washington, DC Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, now located on the National Mall. To begin construction, Jarvis lobbied and secured a $10 million appropriation from the United States Congress, followed by another $25 million from the private sector and high-networth individuals.

A native of Houston, Jarvis is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and has served on dozens of boards throughout his career. He is a frequent public speaker on topics related to corporate and emerging market development, crisis mitigation, and the economics of sports. Led by his faith, Jarvis is a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, DC, and is a proud “Girl Dad” to Madeleine Reid and Savannah Francies.
