Student Update: Anandra Chaney

We are thrilled to share this wonderful update from DIHEF scholarship recipient Anandra Chaney, a rising junior Sports Management major with a Sociology minor at Livingstone College!  Anandra closed out the semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA, an incredible achievement that reflects her dedication and drive. On top of her academic excellence, she was elected President of the Livingstone chapter of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) and serves as Vice President of her class in student government. She is truly leading on every front!

Anandra is also making her mark on the golf course. She first picked up the sport during COVID through Better Family Life and Tee Masters, and went on to become the only girl on her high school golf team, an experience that shaped her confidence and resilience. Now in college, she practices alongside the men’s golf team as she works toward competing on her own. Golf has taught Anandra patience, discipline, and an unshakeable belief in herself, and we have no doubt she will continue to soar both on and off the course. We are so proud of everything she is accomplishing!
