Student Update: Tori Simmons

We recently received an exciting update from DIHEF scholarship recipient Tori Simmons. Tori continues to work hard and remains on track to graduate this December. We’re incredibly proud of her dedication and all that she has accomplished. Please join us in wishing her continued success as she reaches this important milestone.

Here’s what Tori shared with us in her recent update:

“It’s been a very busy year for me so far. I did a full-time co-op at Insulet in Acton, MA from January-June and was able to continue part time for the summer until the end of August while I finished summer classes. It worked out great because I learned a lot about working at a larger corporation and a big office building. They do work that makes a big impact with the Omnipod 5, which are those wearable insulin pumps for people with diabetes!

Now that that’s over, I’m (finally) in my last semester at Northeastern doing Bioengineering and I’ll be able to graduate this December! I’m super proud to have finished 3 co-ops and still be able to graduate in 4.5 years.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for thinking of me these past few years and blessing me with scholarships to help fund my semesters. I’m so grateful!”
