Mentorship opportunities for our scholars

On February 17, 2023, the Dorothy I. Height Education Foundation (DIHEF) and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) proudly announced the launch of the Project Height Scholarship Program, generously supported by Meta. On March 24, 2023, we announced the 27 scholarship recipients.

In an effort to provide additional support to our awardees, the NCNW has coordinated a mentorship program to pair their knowledgable members with Project Height scholars with the goal to empower and nurture the next generation of civil rights and technology leaders.

Mentorships with NCNW members and/or prior DIHEF Scholarship awardees, have been a valuable support system for our scholars – giving them opportunities to receive one-on-one guidance in their specific fields of study, develop skills to improve their success while in school and once they are ready for the job market, such as networking and resume building.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the dedicated mentors that have participated with us now and in the past for your sharing your time and expertise with our scholars.
